The State of New Jersey to the Sheriff of the County of Monmouth Greeting: You are hereby commanded to take John Holmes & Solomon Ketcham if to be found in your Bailiwick and them safely keep; so that you have their bodies before the Judges of the Inferiour Court of Common Pleas to be held at Freehold in & for the said County of Monmouth on the fourth Tuesday in July next to answer Elisha Walton Esqr. who as well for himself as for the State of New Jersey in this behalf prosecuteth of a plea that they Render to him and the said State twenty nine thousand four hundred thirty-[nine] pounds twenty Eight Pounds thirteen shillings & four Pence half Penny which they owe to and unjustly detain from him the said Elisha Walton who as well &c and the said State and have you then there this Writ Witness John Anderson Esqr. Judge of the said Court at Freehold aforesaid the twentyfifth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty one
