New Jersey ....The State of New Jersey to our Judges of our Inferior Court of Common Pleas of Monmouth County, greeting. We command you that the Body of John Holmes & Solomon Ketcham by whatsoever Names they may be called, in your custody detained in our Prison under your Custody as is said,under safe and secure conduct together with the Day & Cause of the Taking & Detaining them by whatsoever Name they may be called in the same before our Justices of our Supreme Court of Judicature at Trenton, on Saturday the fifteenth Day of May Instant you [have] and receive all & singular those Things which the Justices of our same Court shall then & there consider of them in this Behalf, and have then there this Writ. Witness David Brearley Esquire, our Chief Justice at Trenton, the fourteenth Day of May in the Year of our Lord, one thousand, seven hundred & eighty three.
