County of Monmouth ss: The State of New Jersey to the Sheriff of the County of Monmouth. You are hereby commanded to take John Holmes and Solomon Ketcham if they may be found within your Bailiwick and them safely [keep] that you have their bodies before the Judges of the Inferiour Court of Common Pleas to be held at Freehold, in and for the County of Monmouth aforesaid on the fourth Tuesday in July next, to answer unto William Wikoff who as well for the State of New Jersey as for himself on this part prosecuteth, of a plea that they render unto him the sum of twenty thousand pounds.---

Which to him they owe and unjustly detain and have you then there this writt,-- Witness John Anderson Esquire Judge of the said Court at Freehold, aforesaid the twenty ninth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine ----
