Chapter 9:
Section: 5:9-22.12: Liberal construction; severability.
8. This act, P.L.2017, c.98 (C.5:9-22.5 et al.), shall be construed liberally. If any provision of this act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of this act are declared to be severable.
