Revised Statutes of New Jersey, 1846
About This Book
The title page reads: "Statutes of the State of New Jersey, revised and published under the
authority of the Legislature. Trenton: printed by Phillips & Boswell. 1847." The work
is sometimes called the "Revision of 1845" because it was authorized in 1845, and
sometimes the "Revision of 1847" because of the publication date, but we call it the
"Revision of 1846" or the "Revised Statutes of 1846" because the revision
acts that it includes were actually passed by the Legislature in April of 1846.
